Hurry up and wait...

Our Airstream has been out enjoying the southern California sun since last October awaiting restoration work. While we were initially told late spring, that has now turned into fall. I spoke with our restorer and he hopes to begin work on the trailer sometime next week. The general plan is to do some external repair work first. There is one section of the trailer where apparently some repairs were done years ago and the rivets used were not the correct type (as they are rusted) so they may have to replace some of the panels. Once that is complete, my understanding is that the trailer will get polished on the exterior and then work will occur inside (such as pulling up carpeting, inspecting the floor, etc.). Given that the weather is going to get colder in a few weeks between Georgia and California, we're not sure when we will be able to get the trailer. We'll provide status reports soon.
